Sam proposed to Hannah at Mount Falcon West Park near Morrison on a winter afternoon, hoping for snowy mountain vibes and a peaceful spot close to Denver. With its mix of forested trails and sweeping Front Range views, Mount Falcon ended up being a great fit for what Sam was envisioning for the proposal.

Sam wanted a wintery mountain backdrop without having to drive far from Denver since the two had dinner plans in the city afterward. Mount Falcon checked all of their boxes—easy access, beautiful scenery, and enough trail options to find a more private section for the proposal.
Before they arrived, we set up a small winter picnic with a blanket, champagne, flutes, a personalized sign, and a floral arrangement inspired by the types of flowers Sam said Hannah loves. Once everything was in place, we blended in as hikers taking a break on a nearby bench so we wouldn't be noticed as they arrived.

They drove up from Colorado Springs, hoping for snow, and got the perfect mix: a sunny day with just enough snow on the ground to feel magical while still keeping the trail easy to walk. We picked a lesser-used part of the trail that offered open mountain views and a grassy spot for the picnic setup. They had briefly considered bringing their dogs, which is one of the reasons Mount Falcon was on their radar, but ultimately left them at home for the day.
After the proposal, we took advantage of the soft winter light for portraits along the trail before the two headed back to Denver to celebrate.
