Stephen wanted to capture his surprise proposal in the summer with professional photos and thought Colorado Springs would be the perfect location. Since Jenna grew up there and he didn't know much about the area, he leaned on us photographers for tips and local knowledge. We helped him plan the proposal at Garden of the Gods for an unforgettable moment.

We decided on High Point Overlook, on the outer edge of the park, which offered a quieter setting than areas near the main parking lot. The overlook provides stunning views of the iconic red rock formations and the mountains to the west. Stephen loved the idea of surprising Jenna in her hometown, especially since she knew he wasn’t familiar with the area.
He arranged dinner reservations at The Broadmoor Hotel nearby, and we planned the proposal for early evening before their dinner. Stephen wanted a natural backdrop and a special bouquet of Jenna’s favorite colors—purples and pinks. After he popped the question, we presented the flowers and shared a champagne toast to celebrate. We then captured portraits around the red rock formations before sending them off to enjoy their evening.
