When we arrived, construction on the main road to Cheyenne Canyon required us to take Gold Camp Road instead—a scenic, single-lane dirt road with some steep drop-offs. The drive itself felt like part of the adventure, and we even stopped along the way after the proposal to capture additional portraits.
Gold Camp Road has primitive campsites with stunning views of the mountains and valley below. It was an unseasonably warm start to the winter, so the creek was flowing and the sunlight made for beautiful portraits. Carlos and Juliana dressed in warm layers, but we were able to capture some photos without coats as well.
