Matt & Morgan share a love of golf, so it was only natural for Matt to plan his proposal at the end of one of their golf games. The iconic Broadmoor Hotel, set in the foothills of the Cheyenne Mountains and ranked among the world’s best golf courses, provided just what Matt was envisioning for the proposal.

While the hotel typically doesn’t allow portrait sessions on the golf course, the staff kindly made an exception for us at the 18th hole because it was a short session and a slower time of year for the golf course. I coordinated with them to track Matt and Morgan along the course and positioned myself near the final hole right before they arrived. After they sank their last putts, Matt dropped to one knee right on the green—an intimate and private moment with breathtaking mountain scenery.

Following the proposal, we captured portraits around the 18th hole before they returned to their hotel room to change. As dusk fell, we continued their session indoors, photographing them around the hotel property before they headed off to celebrate dinner.
